Terms of Service
Terms of Service
How Unionsuite works and what we commit to, in plain language. The binding terms are the written agreement we provide before you start; where this overview and that agreement differ, the signed agreement controls.
Updated June 11, 2026.
The service
- Unionsuite is a hosted platform plus a build-partner relationship: we host your workspace, tailor it to your union, migrate your data for you at no charge, and build the tools your union needs.
- Every union runs in its own isolated database, storage, and web address, never shared with another union.
- We target and guarantee 99.9% uptime, measured monthly, and have had no unplanned outages since launch. No online service is completely immune to interruption; our specific availability commitment and any service credits are set out in the written agreement you sign.
Term and renewal
- The minimum term is three months. After that, your subscription continues month to month and you can cancel with reasonable notice as set out in your agreement.
- Fees, plan, and notice periods are stated in the written agreement you sign before you start.
- Migration onto Unionsuite is free and done for you; nothing goes live until your union has reviewed and approved it.
Your data and ownership
- Your union's data is and remains your union's property. We claim no ownership of it.
- We process member data only to operate and support the service, on your union's instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for who you grant access to within your workspace.
Our intellectual property
- Unionsuite, this website, and the interactive demos, including their software, source code, structure, design, layout, look and feel, text, graphics, and the Unionsuite name and logo, are owned by Unionsuite Ltd. and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. The one thing that stays yours is your union's own data, as set out above.
- The demos are provided for evaluation only and run entirely on fictional sample data. You may view and interact with them to assess the product. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape or harvest, frame or embed, mirror, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative or competing works from the website, the demos, or any of their code, design, or layout, in whole or in part.
- No licence to our intellectual property is granted except the limited right to use the service under the agreement you sign. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. To request permission, or if you believe content here infringes your rights, contact us.
Acceptable use
- Use Unionsuite lawfully and only for your union's legitimate operations.
- Don't attempt to breach security or isolation, access another union's workspace, reverse-engineer the platform, or use it to send unlawful or unsolicited communications.
- Keep your administrator accounts and access lists current; you're responsible for activity under your workspace's accounts.
Exit and changes
- On exit, the order is export first, revoke access, then delete on an agreed schedule, confirmed in writing, your data is never held hostage. You can also export everything yourself at any time.
- We give reasonable advance notice of material changes to the service, these terms, or our subprocessors.
- Either party may terminate as set out in the signed agreement; on termination we return or delete your data per that agreement and our Privacy Policy.
Liability and law
- To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, and our aggregate liability is limited as set out in the written agreement. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
- Governing law: Ontario, Canada, and the courts of Ontario.
- This is a plain-language overview; the binding terms are the signed agreement we provide, which controls if the two differ. Questions? Contact us.
